I just feel like letting out some steam so here are a few things on my mind, a few months back I bought my younger sister a CDROM that had a video game she liked, I carefully look at what type of system it need to run and what not, her system was a little better as the requirements, so there she goes installs it, and boom, the game ran like crap, so as a customer what do I do, but “try” and take it back. But from my understanding the game is now open and they don’t take returns, so there goes $80 down the drain, upgrade your OS, upgrade your system, laalal, programmers have became lazy due to Microsoft with DirectX, so now Microsoft controls a little bit of every game with there DirectX code, meaning you have to do o/s upgrades twice a year, and with o/s upgrade you need more ram, more cpu power. I dunno… well on to something else….
Napster, everyone loves napster, sure, free music, burn it, but the record labels have no control over it, as I believe they control the who music industry, I think of napser as a radio station, I listen, I like, I buy… it’s been proven that CD sales never dropped, they only got higher since napster has been out, (Although I been trading MP3’s for a long time).. So well if the US government steps in, and shuts down napster there is alway FTP’s, IRC, OpenNap, and a billion peer to peer sharing programs, you can stop Napster but you can’t stop us all! Next is MP3 well if you don’t know this yet the actual file “MP3” is has a copyright, and the owners of that copyright will be charging for the use of it. this bring me back to open source… vorbis ogg, the files are small then mp3’s, the sounds better then mp3’s, and totally open source so you can do what ever you want to it… check it out here -> http://www.vorbis.com/
